Recycling IIS Application Pool when processor load reaches a certain %
Hi Team
I need to create a recycle event when the IIS server processor load reaches about 90%, it would then need to recycle the IIS Applications Pool, In addition to this, i know that this can be done by IIS but i want to have this managed by SCOM,

Not able to get page-specific alerts in SCOM for a particular .NET application
I have added a .NET application to monitor on SCOM 2012 R2 through .Net Application Monitoring wizard. The .NET app is only raising alerts for Application_start (global.aspx) and Web API when it should raise lots of alerts related to performance for different pages throughout the app.
- In order to be able to select this app from the wizard, I had to override the discovery rule in SCOM so that it looks for an asax page rather than an aspx page in the root folder.
Any ideas please?
N.B. I've set the thresholds low for performance.

The environment is an AS5400 voice gateway sending voice PSTN calls to a Windows 2008 server over T1-to-Dialogic cards. The server team thinks their side is good. I had thought maybe a timing issue but the TDM Clock = NORMAL.

Is AppInsights replacing APM

I have following questions around APM and AppInsights as it is pretty confusing which one does what.
Is AppInsights
1. replacing APM ?
2. Enhancing APM ?
or
3. same as APM but for the Cloud ?
4. can APM and AppInsight join hands as both use MMA or are they both exclusive to each other

Accidentally deleted APM Run As Account
Hey
While deleting some test Run As accounts, I accidentally deleted the APM Run As Account that gets automatically created. Is there a way to restore this account? I was going to try and re-create it, but I never entered any credentials for it.
In my test environment, I installed APM and noticed that the account gets created once you start monitoring an application. The credentials for the account are a Binary Account File type with encrypted binary data.
Any suggestions with how I should proceed?

Troubleshooting synching SCOM alerts to TFS work items
I am working with a client who’s stepping up to SCOM 2012 R2 especially for the APM/DevOps features. We are trying to get SCOM agents to create TFS work items, a few tries but no success. The SCOM logging is pretty general so it is hard to know how to troubleshoot this.
Can anyone direct me toward help or provide a clue on troubleshooting this synchronization? Many thanks.

Java Application Performance Monitoring - J2EE Transaction Monitoring
Hi,
Does SCOM 2012 R2 support J2EE transaction monitoring, ie how application behaves from end users. Apdex scores,response time and throughput , Execution method and SQL queries.I could not find transaction monitoring information in Java MP guide.
Is that Java managment pack supports monitoring only Tomcat and not weblogic,websphere and jboss on Linux servers,

TalkingHeads Application for .Net Monitoring
Trying to install TalkingHeads Application in Test Lab for .Net Monitoring.
Application is installed but when trying to seed the database get this error
An error occurred while executing the command definition. See the inner exception for details. Inner Exception:Invalid object name 'dbo.Posts'.

Workgroup clients not being discovered by SCOM
I have a newly configured Operations Manager 2007 R2. The servers within the domain are being discovered by SCOM, but not the servers in a workgroup (not in the domain). I have installed the operations mangager 2007 r2 agent on the clients.

SQL 2008R2 Database status not reflecting on SCOM 2012
Hi Everyone,
I am using SQL server 2008R2 with 2 instance and 9 database, SCOM agent installed on that server.
When i put 2 database offline i am not getting any alert, and i also delete 3 database its not reflecting on scom server.
I also verified SCOM services running and done re-install the agent.

tfs 2013 scom integration
Good morning
I have a little problem about tfs 2013 and scom 2012 r2 integration, I would like to have possibility to forward exceptions from Application monitoring to tfs - I have followed instructions on technet and I am able to connect to tfs, retrieve project collections from scom. I have also found new Work Item type Operational Issue in tfs and new status in scom called Assigned to Engineering. But unfortunately when I do change status from New to Assigned to Engineering I am receiving update status but these alerts doesn't show on tfs side.
I have been tracing Windows events in tfs and scom but I can't see anything strange. Do you have any advices for that - how to check if something is blocked on tfs side or scom side? Where I should look into?

Nothing appeared in "Enable Client Side Monitoring" tab to be anabled
Hi,
I've created a new APM.NET Test via .NET Application Performance Monitoring Template and after following all the steps provided by Kevin Greene in the URL: http://kevingreeneitblog.blogspot.de/2012/03/scom-2012-configuring-application_49.html and when I reach the part to enable the CSM I found it null with nothing to be enabled (the Check Client-Side Monitoring Compatibility’ task is finished successfully ).
Why Enable CSM is empty? How to show the application Is this affecting the APM monitoring results?
P.S.
- We are now using SCOM2012R2 with CU2 (with only R2, we faced an outage due to the SCOM R2 Agents was not compatible with the version of SCOM APM in R2, and the CU2 is supposed to solve this problem)

APM Causing IIS Performance Issue
I added APM to an application on IIS server to monitor the performance and exceptions. It worked well except for one web service it actually CAUSES performance issues - the function taking ten times longer when APM is monitoring than when it is uninstalled.
Can anyone suggest where to start with this please?

Unable to see Client Side Performance events
I have enabled client side monitoring and i can see the performance counters in the SCOM view and i see JavaScript files being injected in the asp.net pages. However, i am not able to see any data for client side performance counters. Server side monitoring is working fine.
Am i missing something in client side IIS settings or in the Monitoring wizard?
