Our company uses custom Alert views for specific teams to try segregate alerts where possible, we are now trialling APM on one of our test IIS application servers and the APM alerts are now flooding the Views with lots of .NET exception alerts. We are happy APM is working for us, but unfortunately need to filter these alerts away from the Views.
The Alert Views themselves are configured for specific SCOM groups, for example we have a SCOM group for UAT systems which is implemented as a dynamic group filtered for a specific UAT FQDN. I have tried removing the APM alerts by creating a new SCOM group that's again dynamic for APM objects, the group itself works fine but applying the group as an excluded group to the main UAT group isn't working and not filtering the APM alerts.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Is there a better way to filter out specific alerts (in this example APM) from custom Alert Views?
