Is it possible that transactions for ASPX pages do not work with URL rewriting?
We have an application that still uses the UIP framework from Microsoft. They make exstensive use of URL rewriting. We have not been able to get transactions working for rewritten ASPX pages. We have tried to setup the transaction with the original URL and the rewritten URL but nothing shows up. We don't get any alerts in OpsMgr for the transactions and no instances of .NET Statistics performance counters related to the transaction. Whe do see performance events when the overall threshold for the application is exceeded. The transactions have lower thresholds than the application.
I suspect that our URL rewriting could have an impact on the way the transactions are handled.
