I am trying to come up with some real-world examples of four types of system inefficiencies that might benefit from application performance management services. In broad strokes, there are four types of system inefficiencies that I need examples for. Those are:
- The application may simply inefficient at meeting the needs of the system or is being inefficiently used.
- The application is taking a long time to perform a service or has a long run time.
- The application is no longer able to handle the traffic demand due to an increase in users or tasks.
- Organizations might simply be retaining infrastructure hardware that is no longer needed or can be performed more efficiently by other existing solutions.
The first one is simple enough. I might use an example that person is using a simple Paint program when Photoshop would have tools they really need.
Are there any other - or better even - real world examples that would describe to an audience what these types of proplems consist of?
